Set Up

Our app is designed to be incredibly user-friendly and easy to set up. Simply:

  1. 1 Download the app from your device's app store
  2. 2 Create an account with your email
  3. 3 Follow the guided setup process

Our intuitive interface and step-by-step instructions make it easy for anyone to set up and use the app, regardless of technical background.

Account & Email

To change your email address:

  1. 1 Go to Settings in the app
  2. 2 Tap on Account
  3. 3 Select Change Email
  4. 4 Enter your new email address
  5. 5 Check your new email for a verification link
You must verify your new email within 24 hours, or the change will be cancelled.

If you haven't received the verification email, please check the following:

Check your Spam/Junk folder - Our emails sometimes get filtered there
Wait a few minutes - Emails can take up to 5 minutes to arrive
Verify the email address - Make sure you entered it correctly
Add no-reply@vindme.io to your contacts to prevent future emails from going to spam.

If you're unable to verify your new email address, don't worry! Here's what you can do:

Use your old email to log in

Your old email remains active until the new one is verified. Simply log in with your original email and try the email change process again.

  1. 1 Log in with your original email address
  2. 2 Go to Settings → Account → Change Email
  3. 3 Double-check the new email address for typos
  4. 4 Request a new verification email
If you continue to have issues, please contact our support team.

To reset your password:

  1. 1 On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?"
  2. 2 Enter your registered email address
  3. 3 Check your email for the reset link
  4. 4 Click the link and create a new password
For security, password reset links expire after 1 hour.

Yes, you can delete your account at any time. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent. All your data, including location history, friends, and settings will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

If you're having issues with the app, consider contacting support before deleting your account.

Friends & Connections

To add a friend:

  1. 1 Navigate to the main panel
  2. 2 Tap on "Add"
  3. 3 Enter their phone number (include country code for international contacts)
  4. 4 Send them an invitation
Free users can add 1 contact member and 1 friend. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited connections.
Yes! Your friend will receive a notification.

They'll be informed that you've added them on the app and will have the option to accept or decline your invitation.

Yes! With the Premium Plan, you can add multiple friends at once by:

  • Importing contacts from your phone
  • Manually entering multiple phone numbers
Remember to include the country code for international contacts (e.g., +1 for USA, +44 for UK).
Free users are limited to 1 contact member and 1 friend.
Premium Feature

To add a contact, they must have:

  • A valid phone number
  • Country code included for international numbers
Examples: +1 555 123 4567 (United States) +52 55 1234 5678 (Mexico) +44 20 7946 0958 (United Kingdom)

  • End-to-end encryption for all location data
  • Secure servers with industry-standard protocols
  • No sharing of your data with third parties
  • Complete control over who can see your location
Yes! You have full control.

You can enable "Ghost Mode" at any time to hide your location from all connections. Go to Settings → Privacy → Ghost Mode.

Ghost Mode can be scheduled to turn off automatically after a set time.

Only people you've explicitly added and approved can see your location. You control:

  • Who can send you connection requests
  • Who can view your real-time location
  • When to hide your location (Ghost Mode)
  • Individual permissions for each connection
